Located at the slopes the Simonsberg Montain in Cape Town, the hostel was constructed with 40 used shipping containers to accommodate 120 boarders. The building was designed with a central core built with traditional brick and mortar and the containers would be placed on the wings for the sleeping area. Much of the building style was based around the surrounding Victorian architecture which helped disguise the containers.
