the shelter is located in the Valley of a Thousand Hills in Kwazulu Natal South Africa.
the structure consisting of old car tyres bolted together at 16 degrees by means of a timber wedge forming a vault.
the tyre structure is then wrapped by a custom made canvas covering openable at the open ends of the vault.
the structure can either be mounted on a raft foundation or an extra two rows of tyres can be added and berried into the ground for founding the structure.
