We propose a modular, flatpack construction system using SIPs technology as a broad-based solution that not only addresses the specific problem of rural housing in India, but also the larger problem of creating viable, low-cost buildings applicable to urban settings, multi-family and multi-storey dwellings, and mixed-use commercial and residential buildings in developing countries.
The solution promises to be technologically, architecturally, socially, financially and contextually suitable to our problem in sight.
