Team Type

  • Emerging Professionals

    Individuals or teams that don’t fall into the student or professional categories are welcome to enter the competition under the Emerging Professional category. Entrants without experience or an education in design or a related field are encouraged to work with design and/or construction professionals. Emerging professionals/teams will be limited to a single entry into the competition.

  • Professional

    Individuals or teams may enroll in the competition it is, however, required that at least one member of the team hold a current New York State professional license (ie. Registered Architect or Professional Engineer). Staff members and immediate family members of the Town of Babylon, USGBC Long Island, and United Way of Long Island are not eligible to enter the competition. Individuals and teams are welcome to submit as many designs as they wish but each design must be treated as a separate entry.

  • Student

    All students, either individuals or teams, may enter the competition. Student entrants and team leaders, which must be identified, must provide proof of current enrollment in school. It is encouraged that students work with a faculty member or other school representative or, at a minimum a professional, to help develop their design and meet all the requirements of the competition as listed below. Students/teams will be limited to a single entry into the competition.
