No, designs should be from the ground up.
LEED Gold certification is not a requirement of designs for the Kallari site. It is the client's preference that the standards of "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design" set by the US Green Building Council be considered, but we don't expect everyone to go out and get their designs certified. If you would like to learn more about LEED and the USGBC, visit www.usgbc.org.
The Kallari Association's own website is a great place to learn more about your community partner.
All boards must be submitted in English first. Translations are not a requirement as the jury will be English speaking. That said, making translations available in Spanish and Kichwa would benefit your community partners at a later stage in the Challenge.
