Its core brands include the Java technology platform, the Solaris operating system, StorageTek and the UltraSPARC processor.

The Partnership: Sun Microsystems implemented the technological platform behind the Open Architecture Network and continues to support creation of ever-better tools and additional features for the site. The Partnership: AMD is generously hosting the Open Architecture Network on their servers as well as partnering on the inaugural AMD Open Architecture Challenge. The Sponsor: Creative Commons provides free tools that let authors, scientists, artists and educators easily mark their creative work with the freedoms they want it to carry. You can use CC to change your copyright terms from "All Rights Reserved" to "Some Rights Reserved." Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization. Everything they do—including the software they create—is free.

The Partnership: The Creative Commons team worked with Architecture for Humanity to adapt its licensing system to support the sharing of architectural plans and drawings on the Open Architecture Network.

The Sponsor: TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. An annual conference bringing together people from those three worlds, TED is best thought of as a global community. This community welcomes people from every discipline and culture with just two things in common: They seek a deeper understanding of the world, and they hope to turn that understanding into a better future for us all.

The Partnership: In 2006 Architecture for Humanity won the TED Prize and was granted one wish to change the world. With funding and the support of the TED community, the prize enable us to build the Open Architecture Network.
