The community members in Tokura area will be trained by staff from Atelier Tekuto to make earth blocks from the local soil, and build storage as a prototype of this technology. The local need for a storage facility is very high, so it could potentially become a business for community members to engage.
Tokura lost 90% of buildings for the tsunami, and rebuilding of those structures has been very slow. Especially fishermen need a lot of storage space for their equipment, so this workshop will help them construct their storage first because the fishery is the major industry of the area.
