PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

When we first started talking about the competition, my sister (she is five years old) gave us the idea of a water tower. We then wanted to learn more about what causes the tides, I never knew that the sun had an effect on the tides. The water tower turned out to be a model of the Earth and moon. The Earth became an auditorium space and moon spun around it (like the actual moon) to better understand the location of the moon, the location of the sun is pretty obvious. The design team wanted an observation tank or a place where you look at fish and the tides. Instead THE FISH WILL BE LOOKING AT US and WE will be in the tank! Isnít it amazing? There is going to be a tent on top of it, to keep it from getting too hot in the summer. The observation tank is under water so when the tides hit the glass, it would roll right over top of the wave like tank. We could not work in any more of my sisterís ideas, no sparkles or ponies, maybe next competition! I used some objects (and changed them) from Google warehouse for my entry. This is my first design competition; I have been learning SketchUp for the last year.
