People's Community Market (PCM) is a community-based organization in West Oakland that develops creative solutions to the health problems in the community that stem from a lack of access to knowledge about healthy, fresh foods. People's Grocery is building on 6 years of experience in marketing healthy and fresh foods to develop a unique food retail store that responds to a strong demand in West Oakland due to a lack of quality food outlets.

The proposed Community Market will be situated at the busy intersection of West Grand and Market Street. This 10,000 sq ft outdoor market facility will be enclosed by a low-cost structure that can provide the proper level of security for any equipment and/or products to be stored after business hours.

Ultimately, this market space is to serve as a semi-prominent solution on the way to the overall goal of becoming an anchor tenant in a commercial center in West Oakland.
