The existing conditions for this site are as follows. There are two buildings on the site. The smaller of the two buildings is used for administrative purposes and the second building is for academic purposes. There are concrete floors throughout the interior of both buildings. Both structures are fairly stable but the stairs leading up to the demolished second floor are in poor conditions. The site still has an excessive amount of debris surrounding the exterior of both buildings and there is a sanitation issue at canal area (#1 and #2). There is no designated parking area for the site
Notes
- First floor academic building has three large classrooms.
- Classrooms have no electrical but do have the conduits
- No running water
- Exterior staircase petrudes through one of the first floor classroom windows. The landing for the staircase cantilevers at the second floor. Rebar petrudes through the side of the building going up the staircase. The Staircase would at least need to be reinforced with support columns if not totally replaced (recommended).
- Classroom entry ways entering the classroom are higher then average.
- Fresh coat of Paint is needed
- The academic building second floor collapsed and has been cleared off. There were 6 classes total on the second floor.
- Rebar are exposed where second floor columns were
- In the case of adding a second floor, further investigation will be needed to see if the rebar that petrudes through the first floor ceiling is long enough or in good conditions to accommodate columns for a second floor or if the building can accommodate a second floor at all.
- Canal needs to be cleaned out
- Addition of vegetation is recommended
