The shelter is intended to be a camping place for a person assigned to study the rate of deforestation and to look out for any activities that contribute to deforestation. Between 1990 and 2005, Philippines has lost 1/3 of its forest area. This has resulted to soil erosion, flooding, river siltation, and endangering of several animal species. This shelter is designed to be easily transported and assembled on site.
