25/50 House
The floor plan of the house is inspired by modular construction having two distinct bars, one for utilities and one for living. With 772 square feet of conditioned space and 88 LEED points the cost of the home is $99,558. Included within this cost estimate is a pull through lift, a standing seam metal roof for durability during high storm winds, a wood screen which wraps the house and grounds it to the site, native plantings, and a green screen that protects the west wall from solar radiation. The house is designed with a panelized construction system, which will shorten construction time and lower overall cost.
