AutoCAD Training in "Université d'Etat d'Haiti" (UEH)
On February 5 th CAD-1 team member Michael Calkins arrived in Haiti to meet with several Haitian professionals and students interested in increasing their knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD. This was the start of a two week introductory CAD course (February 6th – 17th 2012)
CAD-1 joined forces with The Rebuilding Center in Port Au Prince, Haiti to coordinate CAD and BIM courses for professionals and students in the design / build industry. As a result of CAD-1 and the Rebuilding Center’s combined efforts for 1 sessions per day. The Autodesk suite program was donated by Autodesk. The students used their own laptops equipped with either a recent or older version of CAD. Students, who provided their own laptops, benefited both the students and the course because it made laptops available to those who did not have the program, and brought a level of comfort and familiarity to those who were able to use their own laptops for the sessions.
