Project Description

AFH: MN has partnered with the TESFA Foundation to assist in the design and construction of a school in the small village of Ekodaga, Ethiopia. The project began construction in mid January and will bring early childhood education, water, sanitation, and a safe play area to a community in need. The project will serve over 200 children and their families. Ekodaga is a small village just outside the city of Chancho, about an hour directly North of Addis Ababa.

The building is constructed of locally sourced materials and was primarily built using traditional methods and materials, and paid local village labor. It was constructed from Eucalyptus wood, straw & mud cob, corrugated metal, and concrete.
