A new resource in the files tab is a huge compendium of Caribbean building details generously donated by San Francisco architects Steven and Cathi House. Including sections on:
Retaining Walls
Foundations
Columns
Beams
Roof framing
Doors
Windows
Eaves and exterior details
This is an amazing amount of wisdom from real built projects in the same climate and geologic region as Haiti. Thanks guys!

Back in November one of our francophone fans offered edits to the French language document–we hope to get a revision up in January.
Also, on a slightly larger note, after its use as a reference now for about nine months on the ground for construction recommendations, including a few additional peer reviews from Caribbean-based engineers, we recognize a few points of clarification need to be made for the document to remain accurate. These points include:
