AWB-Seattle assisted Asiania Education Development (AED) for our first project. The client came to us with a program, a site, and a desire for a unique orphanage campus. The linear site will house over 200 boys, primarily aged 6 to 16, and their surrogate parents in five different styles of cabanas and dormitories throughout the site. The campus is supported by administration facilities, community interface, recreational and vocational training opportunities, guest housing, and community gathering space. Active play and exploration as well as quiet gathering and study are facilitated by design.
