PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The internationally-recognized Dry-In House is a student project at Clemson University focused on the benefits of mass-customization. The project addresses the main problems facing the many now-homeless residents of post-Katrina New Orleans: it provides a simple, fast, and cost-effective method of semi-prefabricated construction. Meant to be implemented on a large-scale, the Dry-In House can provide a unique and affordable solution that can help rebuild the fabric of the destroyed New Orleans communities.

The team of students completed a mockup section of the Dry-In House to be built in New Orleans on the campus of Clemson University.

The first full-size Dry-In House is projected to be finished at the beginning of summer 2008 in New Orleans. For more information and up-to-date news on the progress of the House, visit the ddbNOLA website.
