Recycling Container Competition
The Recycling Group has completed the design and installation of a PopSock that will be hung in the College of Design Forum to promote the Recycling Container Competition. The goal of the competition is to design and build a series of recycling containers that can be easily duplicated and placed across the Iowa State University Campus to collect and recycle pop bottles and cans, as well as other plastic containers and cardboard.

Did they recycle the sock when they were done?

Great concept. This model probably shows how fast cans can stack up after time. It makes people stop and think about what they are throwing away, like it also doesn't just away. A student probably can see a can and be like, "Hey, I threw that away a week ago?"
I'm curious about the possible mess made by the soda cans in the fishnet-type sock. Was the model messy?
