Steelwork treatment: Contractor has used red coloured anti rust paint on the scaffold structure; The contract drawings stipulate that the anti rust paint applied to the structure is to be a clear lacquer, to maintain the colour of the steel. Contractor is now required to re-paint the structure to the specified colour.
Drainage: AESL have yet to provide drainage details to the contractor. Heavy rains recently have caused the area to the south of the site to collapse, due to the lack of a surface drainage system. AESL confirmed that the original drainage design and costs which they provided are incorrect. Original design involved piping water collected at the north of the site into the storm drain to the south of the site. AESL advised that a surface water drain is required to the perimeter of the site to channel water into the existing storm water collection outlet. AESL to provide costs for this system AESL
