Architecture for Humanity - Seattle has partnered with Greater Seattle Cares and SHARE/WHEEL (Seattle Housing and Resource Effort/Women's Housing Equality and Enhancement League) to design and construct a mobile shower for Tent City 3 in Seattle. Tent City 3 is a legal, mobile homeless encampment of 100 residents that relocates every 3 months. The design uses recycled and donated building materials and solar technology. This accessible facility will provide a shower, 2 sinks, and an improved electrical system for the encampment. It is our intention that this project sets the stage for future projects with Greater Seattle Cares, SHARE/WHEEL and Tent City 3.
