This was a preliminary meeting to arrange the schedule for next week and introduce ourselves
Schedule:
Sat – Joseph to meet surveyor, family etc on site and finally resolve the property dispute. He is confident this will be the last meeting. Joseph to also arrange site clearance work to restart.
Mon – BT to do orientation with Darren – meet the staff and general Kampala logisitics. Joseph and Darren to meet with GET to discuss various issues and line up training for this week.
Tue – site visit to Nakaseeta – push site clearance, assess grading.
Wed/Thur/Fri – GET Training one day – fabricate ISSBs for 28 day strength test; Visits to Mpigi, Gita and other sites – material research and assess specific construction issues raised at Gifford meetings; contact contractors
Timeline – the council are waiting on the call to do the grading so can commence once clearance is complete. Transport of soil to site will take one day. Fabrication of the ISSBs can then commence (very time consuming) – ISSBs must cure for 10 days prior to use. Initial contact and previous work inspections of possible contractors to start this week.
