The New York Institute of Technology Solar Decathlon Team is proud to present to the world our solar-powered home: OPEN House. This 800 square foot house has been designed and built by students and will be transported to the National Mall in Washington DC to participate in the 2007 Solar Decathlon. NYIT along with 19 other schools from around the world will display homes powered by the sun in October, 2007. Visit www.solardecathlon.org for information about the event.
The NYIT OPEN House is currently in Washington D.C. competing in ten competitions in the Solar Decathlon. We're doing well, and we will find out tomorrow who the ultimate winner is. We're competing with 19 schools from around the world. I was taking pictures like mad for the first 12 days and I've posted them on Flickr. Check them out! Our team is amazing and we've had such a blast working together on this incredible project.
