• Approval from SFW required by 30 Mar, no queries have been received to date.
• Tendering Date: Delayed due to delay in Approval by SFW/FIFA

Critical next steps

• DD set has been approved, further information is being added for drawing suitable for contractors to tender the project, in addition to drawings being reviewed by AFH.

• Tender supporting documents: Geotechnical document was scheduled to be returned to AOR last week, DF will continue to pursue. Reason for delay unknown if the delay persists DF and AOR will travel 200+ miles to Laboratory in Bamenda.

• DF assembling tender package in preparation for submission to AfH and ultimately sfw/FIFA.
• Project is awaiting DD approval by sfw/FIFA. This is now very delayed.
• DF travelling to Site 21-22nd Jan to meet Government Surveyor,
Geotechnical Surveyor and for preliminary contractor discussions.

JAN 27
• Awaiting approval of DD set Submitted 26/12/2011. This has delayed and
is continuing to delay progress.

• Design Fellow has relocated to site and is working in conjunction with Architect of Record to develop the design.
• Due to internet connectivity issues the Design Development Package submission to sfw will be delayed. The exact length of delay is unknown at this time, but will keep sfw posted.

NOV 04

• Schematic Design was submitted November 11 and responses to SFW queries sent November 17. Continue to wait for SFW approval, which has delayed DF relocation to Site.

• DF (remotely)/AOR (on-site) are pursuing material sourcing.

• Project is delayed due to hold ups in approval of Design Brief. Original plans for a fast tracking of approval process for further stages will need to be reviewed.

• Meeting 25th Oct with Centre Host to discuss design implication for SFW/FIFA modification to design guidelines, also currently in correspondence.
• Land Surveyor has sent topographical survey awaiting key further information (Host centre has been requested to assist).
• Schematic Design is being developed, AFH submission expected November 9th (tentative upon approval of Design Brief).

OCT 28
• Local consultant (AoR, QS, and Engineer) has not responded to preliminary costing sent 13th October.
• Contract sent to Local consultants 26th Oct
• Centre Host was happy with proposed building discussed during meeting in cape town on the 25th of Oct
• Land Surveyor has sent topographical survey awaiting key further information (Centre Host has verbally agreed to assist in this).
• Schematic Design is being developed, AFH submission expected November 9th.
